“Alone on the Walls” is a permanent exhibition in the “Cardo” of the Jewish Quarter devoted to the battle over the Jewish Quarter in 1948.
It presents a short video of memories of warriors and children of this lost battle, and extrodinary photos of John Phillips , a LIFE magazine photographer who dressed as a British officer, and so the Jordanian did not mind him documenting this dramatic battle.
His photos were later assembled in to a book “Jerusalem: A will to survive“.
