Rockefeller Museum was founded by John D. Rockefeller jr., after the king of Egypt declined his offer to create an antiquities museum in Cairo.
It was opened in 1938 and presented mostly finds from digs during the British Mandate period.
Renowned for its exceptional archtiectural design, to this day most of the museum presents the original display from the day of its opening.
Rockefeller Museum is a A MUST for any one interested in Biblical Archaeology and its history of Research.
