Caesarea
was founded some 2000 years ago by King Herod, and for over a millenia was the most important port city in the Holy Land. Appreciating its high-techi visitors center, we will stroll among the rich finds from Roman, Byzantine, and Crusaders times.
We then ascend up to the Carmel Mountains to visit and learn about the interesting Druze minority also by having a Druze lunch.
We could also visit the l “Muhraka” , the traditional site of the battle between Elijah and the prophets of Ba’al, and end with a stroll in the German colony in Haifa, viewing from the different angles the stunning Bahaian Terraced Gardens
, and perhaps having some Coffee and Knafeh in Wadi Nisnas.
