June 3, Tuesday (Eve of Shavuoth)
Arriving early that morning, we meet at noon to go for lunch at Mahane Yehudah Market where we can also experience the special pre-holiday shopping atmosphere.
We then drive along parts of Mea Shearim, and end the day at the Mount of Olives Viewpoint , and if time and will permits, visit some of its sites.
June 4, Wednesday (Shavuoth)
We start at the Good Samaritan Inn site, which presents a rare and special exhibition of ancient mosaic floors; continue to a view of Saint George Monastery ; and head to a view of the caves where the famous Dead Sea Scrolls were discvoered.
After lunch, we tour Qumran and areview its possible links to the Dead Sea Scrolls, and possibly end the day with a swim at the Dead Sea.
If time and will permits, we will also visit the Ein-Gedi ancient Synagogue (I excavated part of it in the 2000’s).
June 5, Thursday
He will take you on a tour to sites he is invloved in their excavations. You will start the day visiting Herodium , and after lunch (in Gavna), Oren will take you to his special site kh. Beit-loya, where he is leading a unique and interesting excavation financed by the Mormoms.
On the way back you will pass by several sites of interest in the Shephela, including the battle site of David and Goliath.

June 6, Friday
The morning is deovted to experiencing a participation in the Temple Mount Debris Sifting Project .
Who knows what we might find!?..
We then head into the old city, have lunch, and possibly join a הכנסת ספר תורה at the Hurvah Synagogue .

Driving along the road 6 (ancient “Via Maris”) we learn about historical sites along the way, and make one stop at Beth Shearim , reviewing the most important Jewish cemetary in Talmudic times, including the possible tomb of R. Yudah “Hanasi”.
