“When You Come Into the Land” (Deut. 26:1)
Arrive in Israel (ELAL 082, landing planned for 7:00), and meet your guide for your first day, tour guide and chef Yehudah Deutsch. Yehudah will guide you on the way to Jerusalem, and will greet you with wine and bread on the top of Mount of Olives Viewpoint .
You will then check in your hotel, refresh, and go with Ami for a pre-shabbath friday noon experience at the Mahane Yehudah Market .
Saturday, April 12
Old city of Jerusalem
I join you for breakfast, and we head for a detailed tour of the old city of Jerusalem. We explore the Jewish Quarter and the Western wall , the Muslim Quarter and the Via Dolorosa , and the Holy Sepulchre in the Christian Quarter .
Sunday, April 13
Beauties of the Dead Sea
This day is devoted to explore the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea. We drive to the famous Roman era fortress of Masada and learn about its dramtic history and rich remains.
We continue to Engedi for a tour of the Botanical Gardens , and experience of lunch in a Kibbutz, and enjoy their new Spa facility. On the way back we also stop to view the caves where the famous Dead Sea Scrolls were uncovered (Qumran ).
Monday, April 14
After lunch in the market, we drive along the ultra orthodox communities and learn about the special preperations for Pesach holiday which starts that eveing.
For dinner you will dine a “Seder” night with the family of chef Ami Giz.

Splendors of the Carmel
Heading north along the coast, we devote the morning to explore the ancient metropolis of Caesarea , capital of the land in Roman times.
Thursday, April 17
Jaffa and Tel-Aviv
Ancient Jaffa and modern Tel-Aviv will be the focus of today. We will walk among the art galleries of Jaffa and down to its port, and continue to Neve Tzedek and along Rothschild Boulevard , and learn on architectural trands of the city over the years.
Friday, April 18
Designs and crafts
The morning will be devoted to appreciate the Palmach Museum and Rabin Heritage Center.
Both are information centers as well as exceptional architectural designs.
For lunch we return to the city center, and expereince Fridays’ Nahalat Binyamin Crafts market , possibly combining it with the small Bauhaus decoration museum (open 10:00 to 14:00).
Saturday, April 19
Museums of Tel-Aviv
Our last day will be devoted to special art and design museums in Tel-Aviv. We will appreciate the exceptional Holon design musum, and the architectural sections of Tel-Aviv Museum of Art .
After lunch we can enjoy some free time, or visit the special Da Vinci Alive Exhibition.
Around 19:00 we will head to the airport for departure.
