Gilabun Stream

gilabun waterfall

The Gilabun (also spelled Jilabun or Jalaboun) is 10 miles long stream flowing through the central Golan Heights in a scenic canyon carved through the basalt rock.

Several marked trails offer a variety of hikes along the stream, traversing through lush vegetation, with refreshing swimming options along the way.

Most popular is the hike to the 65 feet high Dvora waterfall, and the 130 feet high Gilabun waterfall. A less known hike embarks from road 918 and passes next to minefield, up to a former water operated flourmill. Here, if you put your feet in the pool’s water, you will get a free a-la fish spa massage!

A hike in the Gilabun nature reserve can be combined with multi-day tour in Israel that will include exploring the Golan Heights.
