Mt. Bental is one of the mountain tops in the Golan Heights which forms the border between Israel and Syria since 1967. Although its top is built into an Israeli bunker, it is anmanned and open to the public.
Inside the bunker are maps of the 1967 and 1973 wars. Next to the bunker is a nice coffee place and a display of metal sculptures made of scrap metal, mostly of former agricultural tools. Near Mount Bental it is possible to on a nice Horse Ride , a Jeep tour by the Syrian Border , or an ATV tour along the Syrian Border .

Mount Bental is in the Golan Heights , which are about 3 hours drive from Jerusalem or Tel-Aviv , and so it is recommended to devote atleast two days for touring this region. Contact me for more details and a tour proposal.
