The Russian Orthodox church and monastery named after Saint Peter and Saint Tabitha are a unique place in southern Tel-Aviv the commemorates the raising of Tabitha from the dead by Peter (Acts 9:36-43). The site is open only a few hours a week for visitors.
Its main church, built in the 19th century is designed in a typical Russian Provoslavic style. In the monastery nearby by one can visit a 2000 year old burial cave which was discovered in the 19th century, and by local tradition is the burial of Saint Tabitha.
