“Burnt house” is a site excavated in the 1970’s in the Jewish quarter, where dramatic evidence were found to the destruction of Jerusalem 2000 years ago.
The wealth of artifcats indicates the residents were one of the richest families of contemporary Jerusalem. An inscribed stone weight inscribed “[of] Son of Katros”, may indicate it was the house of a wealthy priestly family.
A well done movie presents the possible scenario of the descruction of the house along the demolishing of Jerusalem by the Romans in 70 CE.
