The site of “Dominus Flevit” (Latin for “The Lord Wept”) is a Catholic church on Mount of Olives which marks Jesus’ reaction upon seeing the magnificant Second Temple, yet weeping and predicting its destruction (Luke 19:37-42).
The church is shaped like a teardrop, a design made by Antonio Barluzzi in 1955.
Near the church דeveral tombs from varying periods were discovered, some are displayed to the public.
