“Yad Vashem” (Hebrew: “Memorial and name”) is the official memorial for the Jewish victims of the Holocaust.
Established in 1953, Yad vashem is place next to Mt. Herzl in western Jerusalem, and includes an archive (with more then 139 million documents!), a library, a research center, an educational center, a main museum, a holocaust art museum, a holocaust survivors testemonials center, and several memorials.
