Your first day in Jerusalem will be used to relax, recuperate and get over the jetlag.
If you wish, you could go for a stroll in the old city.

Dec 22 (SUN)
We will also search for King David’s Palace , David’s Tomb and other points of interest. For lunch we will go into the Jewish Quarter, and later visit the Western wall and points of interst on Mount Zion: site of the Last Supper (Cenacle), resting place of Mary, the site of the Pentacost, and more.

Dec 23 (MON)
Continuing the exploration of Jerusalem, today we first greet it from Mount of Olives Viewpoint , and then visit significant Holy Christian sites in the area such as Chapel of the Ascension , Church of the Pater Noster, Dominus Flevit , Garden of Gethsemane, Grotto of Gethsemane, Kidron Valley Tombs, and Mary’s Tomb.
We then cross the Kidron Valley and enter the old city at the Pools of Bethesda, and then join the “Via Dolorosa” from the site of the trial of Jesus, to the site of his crucifixion and burial – the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Dec 24 (TUE)
In the morning I will drive you to the checkpoint and a Palestinian guide will drive you into Bethlehem and lead you to a visit to the Church of Nativity and the Shepherds’ Field.
Later we will drive to the village of Ein Karem believed to be the hometown of John the Baptist, and end the day reviewing the highlights of the Israel Museum: “Shrine of the Book”; Model of the Second Temple; and the Archaeological Wing.

Focusing on the region between Jerusalem and the Southern coastal plain we visit sites relate to the loss of the ark (Beth Shemesh), Tel Lachish, sites related to Samson, the Battle site of David and Goliath, and more.

Morning prayers at BYU in the morning, and optional free time for the rest of the day. Alternatively I could offer a tour to the national institution for the memorial of the Holocaust (“Yad Vashem”), and the hometown of John the Baptist – Ein Karem.

10:00 – Morning prayers at BYU, and then a taxi ride to the border crossing into Jordan will lead you to the top of Mount Nebo. You will then drive along the “Desert Highway”, towards Petra.

Heading out of Eilat, we have a long day of driving to the Galilee, with making possibly stops at Avdat, Ben Gurion’s Tomb and Hut and Tel Be’er Sheva.

We start with a visit to Biblical Tel Hazor and Caesarea Philippi (Banias). We then asecnd to the top of the Golan Heights we will visit the 7th Brigade Tank Monument and Mt. Bental. We could also ATV tour along the Syrian Border and a chocolate workshop at De Karina Chocolatiere.

Heading into the Tel-Aviv for the week-end we visit the “Wedding church” in Cana, and in Nazareth we visit the Church of Annunciation, the S. Joseph Church the Synagogue church and Mount Precipice.

Today is another free day in Tel-Aviv, to enjoy the beach, and stroll around your nighebrhood.

Your last day of touring will be devoted to ancient Jaffa and parts of Tel-Aviv, including the Flea Market Independence Hall, Rothschild Boulevard, Rabin Assassination site, Palmach Museum and more. In the evening we will have a farewell dinner, and at 00:30 we will head to the airport.
