Upon arrival and collecting the luggage you will drive (T.B.A.) to your rental place in Jerusalem, settle in, and have a nice dinner (T.B.A.).

Dec 21 (Sat) 

cardo maximus jerusalemYour first day in Jerusalem will be used to relax, recuperate and get over the jetlag.

If you wish, you could go for a stroll in the old city.

Dec 22 (SUN)

city of David Meeting your guide, today the adventure begins!: We explore underground tunnels in the City of David, especially Hezekiah’s Tunnel, the Pool of Siloam and walk up Herodian Drainage Channel to the Southern Wall Archaeological Park.

We will also search for King David’s Palace , David’s Tomb and other points of interest. For lunch we will go into the Jewish Quarter, and later visit the Western wall and points of interst on Mount Zion: site of the Last Supper (Cenacle), resting place of Mary, the site of the Pentacost, and more.

Dec 23 (MON) 

mount of olives camel rideContinuing the exploration of Jerusalem, today we first greet it from Mount of Olives Viewpoint , and then visit significant Holy Christian sites in the area such as Chapel of the Ascension , Church of the Pater NosterDominus Flevit , Garden of GethsemaneGrotto of GethsemaneKidron Valley Tombs, and Mary’s Tomb.

We then cross the Kidron Valley and enter the old city at the Pools of Bethesda, and then join the “Via Dolorosa” from the site of the trial of Jesus, to the site of his crucifixion and burial – the Church of the Holy Sepulchre

Dec 24 (TUE) 

church of nativity bethlehemIn the morning I will drive you to the checkpoint and a Palestinian guide will drive you into Bethlehem and lead you to a visit to the Church of Nativity and the Shepherds’ Field.

tour to the Israel Museum Later we will drive to the village of Ein Karem believed to be the hometown of John the Baptist, and end the day reviewing the highlights of the Israel Museum: “Shrine of the Book”; Model of the Second Temple; and the Archaeological Wing.

Dec 25 (WED) 

baptism site A day devoted to the region of the Dead Sea will begin with a visit to the Baptism site (qasr el-Yahud), and possibly conduct a baptism ceremony. We then drive to famed Masada, drive along the oasis of Ein Gedi and the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered (Qumran) and end the day with a swim at the Dead Sea.

Dec 26 (THUR) 

david goliath battle site qeiyafa gateFocusing on the region between Jerusalem and the Southern coastal plain we visit sites relate to the loss of the ark (Beth Shemesh), Tel Lachish, sites related to Samson, the Battle site of David and Goliath, and more.

yad vashem tourMorning prayers at BYU in the morning, and optional free time for the rest of the day. Alternatively I could offer a tour to the national institution for the memorial of the Holocaust (“Yad Vashem”), and the hometown of John the Baptist – Ein Karem.

Dec 28 (SAT) 

10:00 – Morning prayers at BYU, and then a taxi ride to the border crossing into Jordan will lead you to the top of Mount Nebo. You will then drive along the “Desert Highway”, towards Petra

Dec 29 (SUN) 

monsatery petra ad deir An early start into Petra will get you there before the crowds, and will enable an optional hike to the “High place” or to the “Monastery” (Ad Deir). Later you will drive in Wadi Rum and have an optional off road tour, and at the end of the day you will cross back into Israel near Eilat.

Dec 30 (MON) 

scuba dive Eilat red sea The morning can be used to rest a bit and also go for a snorkel or Scuba Diving experience at the Red Sea. I will join you after lunch and take you for a hike in the ancient copper mines in Timna and also review the Tabernacle Replica at the site.

Dec 31 (TUE) 

ben gurion tombHeading out of Eilat, we have a long day of driving to the Galilee, with making possibly stops at Avdat, Ben Gurion’s Tomb and Hut and Tel Be’er Sheva.

Jan 1 (WED) 

capernaum tour Greeting the new year with a tour along sites around the Sea of Galilee we will visit sites like Capernaum , Church of the Multiplication of Loaves and FishChurch of the Primacy of PeterMagdalaMount of BeatitudesSea of Galilee Boat. We could also have a Sail on the Sea of Galilee experience.

Jan 2 (THUR) 

ATV Jordan riverWe start with a visit to Biblical Tel Hazor and Caesarea Philippi (Banias). We then asecnd to the top of the Golan Heights we will visit the 7th Brigade Tank Monument and Mt. Bental. We could also ATV tour along the Syrian Border and a chocolate workshop at De Karina Chocolatiere.

Jan 3 (FRI)

Galilee christian tourHeading into the Tel-Aviv for the week-end we visit the “Wedding church” in Cana, and in Nazareth we visit the Church of Annunciation, the S. Joseph Church the Synagogue church and Mount Precipice.

tel aviv tour rothschild boulevardYour last day of touring will be devoted to ancient Jaffa and parts of Tel-Aviv, including the Flea Market Independence HallRothschild BoulevardRabin Assassination sitePalmach Museum and more. In the evening we will have a farewell dinner, and at 00:30 we will head to the airport.
