Main Hot Springs
Set deep in Wadi Main’s gorge, Ma’in Hot Springs (Arabic – Hamamat Ma’in) are a series of hot mineral springs and waterfalls 45 miles southwest of Amman. The gushing thermal water are a great treat, and especially in the winter, generating a natural hot shower and massage. The site is especially crowded on Fridays with locals bathing and having picnics. Next to the waterfalls Ma’in Hot Springs hotel and spa is a great luxury spa resort facing the waterfalls. It utilizes some of the rich mineral water for the hotel’s pools and spas. A visit and stay at Main hot springs is a great break when touring central Jordan. Although it seems isolated, it is only 7 miles from the Dead Sea and Machaerus, and 17 miles from Madaba.
A visit to Hamamt Main can be combined with a multi-day tour of Jordan.
