Moss Family tour plan, July 2019

July 2 (TUE)

19:00 Arrival, WELCOME TO ISRAEL! transfer to Jerusalem by taxi/van.

Check in, have a late dinner, and prepare for the first day tour the next day!.

July 3 (WED)

The first day of the tour will be devoted to the highlights of the old city of Jerusalem: The Christian Quarter Church of the Holy Sepulchre  , the Suq , the Jewish Quarter , the Western wall   and City of David   with an otpional walk along the Hezekiah’s Tunnel  .

July 4 (THUR)

Day tour of the Shfelah: along the “Burma Road”  Beth Shemesh Battle site of David and Goliath , and a visit to the Secret Bullet Factory (“Machon Ayalon”) .

July 5 (FRI)

Completing our exploration of Jerusalem, we start with a visit to the Holocaust memorial (“Yad Vashem”  ) and possible the highlights of the Israel Museum   

For lunch we head into the Mahane Yehudah Market   , and srtoll along the market. We end with a drive along the Ultra Orthodox neighborhood of Mea Shearim .

July 6 (SAT)

Day tour to the Dead Sea: driving by Jericho, our first stop will be the famous site of Masada  . We then continue to Ein Gedi  where we can also have lunch.

We then stop to visit the site where the famous Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered (Qumran  ), and of course we include also a swim experience at the Dead Sea .

July 7 (SUN)

Checking out, we head north for two nights. At Beth Shearim  we explore the ancient Jewish Catacombs, and at Sepphoris / Zippori  we learn about the ancient Mishna project. We continue to the Sea of Galilee for lunch in a nice local fish restaurant, and then possibly Sail on the Sea of Galilee , and/or visit ancient Capernaum .

July 8 (MON)

A day tour of the Golan Heights will start at the top of Mt. Bental   for a view into Syria. Later we could go for an ATV  tour in the Golan Heights  as well as a chocolate workshop at De Karina Chocolatiere .

We then continue to “Golan Magic” Visitors Center  or go for Kayaks  on the Jordan river.

July 9 (TUE)

Heading to Tel-Aviv for the last two days we stop at the ancient Metropolin of Caesarea   on the way, and possibly have some Powered Parachute Flights   in the area.

July 10 (WED)

The last day will be devoted to a Day tour of Tel-Aviv, including a visit to Jaffa , the Flea Market  , the Independence Hall  along Rothschild Boulevard , and an optional visit to the Palmach Museum

July 11 (THUR)

A relaxed morning with an optional morning swim at the beach.
