Miri Nitzan is a certified Israel Tour Guide, specializing in incoming tourism. Miri caters to a diverse clientele and enjoys working with business and leisure travelers alike; be they individuals, couples, tour groups, families, or multigenerational groups, of any religion.
Miri is friendly, enthusiastic, and loves hiking and the out-doors. As a guide, she will share with you her love for Israel – its history, nature, stories and people. It is Miri’s goal that by the end of your tour she will have successfully breathed life into the stories of the past, created a sense of informed familiarity, and helped you develop a personal and enduring connection with Israel.
Miri was born in Chicago and raised in Beer-Sheva, having made Aliya (emigration) with her family at the age of 9, thus she speaks both English and Hebrew fluently. Miri studied for a BA in Geography at the Ben Gurion University before serving as an officer in the IDF Intelligence. She also has a Law degree, is a Pilates Method trainer, and a wire mesh Sculptor. After raising her three children Miri realized a dream by returning to study to become an Israel Tour Guide.
Miri lives in the city of Modiin, located between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, with her husband, two daughters, and son, where she is a member of the Reform Jewish congregation, Yozma.
