Planting a tree is a unique experience tourists and families can participate in while visiting Israel. Operated by the JNF, there are several locations across the country where one can personally participate in one of the Zionistic goals to reforest the land of Israel.
In the last century over 240 millions trees were planted across Israel, and it is the only one of two countries in the world where its numbers of trees have increased.
The biggest planted forest is “Yattir” forest in southern Israel, about 30 sq. km.
