My story is Neil Armstrong’s story!
That’s what I tell people who ask: “Why did you become a tour guide?”
In the seventies Neil Armstrong came for a tour of the Holy Land.
Standing outside the Hulda Gates the archaeologist Meir Ben-Dov told him about the spectacular history of these ruins…
Let’s use our imagination to recreate the scene:
This was the main entrance to the Temple Mount two thousand years ago.
Here, tens of thousands of Jews would make their way up these very stairs for the festivals.
Imagine – men, women and children readying themselves for the festival, sheep and goats for offerings, fruit brought from afar to be eaten in the gates of Jerusalem…
Neil responded: “This is even more exciting than landing on the moon!”
Same with me! Inspired by the Huldah Gates, and the rest of the incredible history of this land, I decided to become a tour guide!
I was a scholar at the Mir Yeshiva and a young Rabbi.
I’d answer questions of Jewish law on a daily basis, lecture in the synagogue and run my own study hall for Jewish studies by night.
I was ordaining weddings and approving restaurant’s as kosher.
At the Hulda Gates I fell in -love with guiding.
I discovered a more powerful method of delivering Torah. I am still an acting Rabbi, though I spend more time on the road.
My tours include: Biblical Tours, Wildlife, Archaeology, Religion, Traditions, and Current Affairs!
I give tours to all the colors of the spectrum, whether religious Jews, or Buddhist Indians.
Carefully catered to match the personality of the tourist.
Most importantly, I’m attentive to questions. I encourage questions throughout the tour!
On my tours you’ll often hear: Fire at will!
Come take some small steps in the Holy Land as me, and be as inspired as Neil Armstrong.
