Khirbet Midras is a a site bearing antiquities from various periods in the heart of the Shefelah.
In its southern end a Byzantine era church was uncovered in 2011, yet it was later covered against due to vandalism. In it’s Western end several rock cut tombs were documented, and recent excavations have uncovered a mysterious building from Roman times.
