“Khirbet Qeiyafa” is the Arab name of a hill top in the Elah valley which was excavated in the years 2007-2012 by Prof. Yossi Garfinkel and Sa’ar Ganor. The finds are of a well-dated 10th century BCE fortress with two gates.
Although the ancient site’s name is not certain, these imporanat finds are a revolution in Biblical Archaeology, validating the existance of a united monarchy founded by David and Solomon, and perhaps even linked to the Battle site David and Goliath .
In 2016 I was honored to participate in a video clip presenting site to a special exhibition held at the Bible Lands Museum, Jerusalem .
