The cave of Saint Jerome is located right next to the traditional site of the birth of Jesus, under the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem. In 388 CE Saint Jerome settled in that cave, and devoted 18 years of his lie to create a Latin translation of the Old Testament from the original Hebrew (Vulgate).
With in the cave complex is also a burial cave devoted the Massacre of the Innocents and St. Joseph.
