Taybeh is an Arab Christian village in the central West Bank, east of Ramallah. Taybeh is identified with Biblical “Ophrah”, mentioned in Joshua 18:23. By local tradition Taybeh was later renamed “Ephraim”, and being so, it is where Jesus dwelt after raising Lazarus from the dead (John 11:53-54). In the eastern part of Taybeh the remains of a 5th century Church can be see, and in Taybeh operates the only beer brewery in the West Bank – Taybeh beer.
