James McKeever – Private Tour Guide
James is a licensed Israeli tour guide. Born in England, he comes from a mixed family with a Jewish mother and Christian father, being raised in Christian schools and educated as a Jew at home and Jewish Sunday school, where he also taught. After completing a bachelor degree in philosophy, he came to Israel as a volunteer in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) where he served in Givati infantry brigade. After military service, he worked as a fisherman on the Sea of Galilee for his kibbutz in the north of Israel before studying to become a guide. When not at home with his wife and two small daughters, he enjoys studying Israel’s history and religions as well as hiking its many trails, particularly in the Golan Heights. James loves guiding as it allows him to share his passion for Israel and connect people from all over the world to the land, its people and history.
