James McKeever – Private Tour Guide
James is a licensed Israeli tour guide. Born in England, he comes from a mixed family with a Jewish mother and Christian father, being raised in Christian schools and educated as a Jew at home and Jewish Sunday school, where he also taught. After completing a bachelor degree in philosophy, he came to Israel as a volunteer in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) where he served in Givati infantry brigade. After military service, he worked as a fisherman on the Sea of Galilee for his kibbutz in the north of Israel before studying to become a guide. When not at home with his wife and two small daughters, he enjoys studying Israel’s history and religions as well as hiking its many trails, particularly in the Golan Heights. James loves guiding as it allows him to share his passion for Israel and connect people from all over the world to the land, its people and history.
Thank you for this amazing experience. You went far beyond any expectations we had! God Bless

James, I cannot thank you enough for the incredible tour you provided for us these past four days. You have a deep knowledge of Israel, it’s history, and it’s people, and you shared it all with us with such passion. You are a great storyteller and conversationalist.
What made it so special was that you managed to connect personally with each and every one of us and blended in as if you had known us for years. You handled every detail and made the tour seamless. We had an amazing time and absolutely loved having you as our tour guide! All the best to you and I hope we will have the chance to travel together again!
