3-day Christian-Themed Private Tour of Jerusalem

Sacred Jerusalem

This 3-day private tour offers a meaningful encounter with the sacred places of Jerusalem, following the footsteps of Jesus and the early Church. With your expert guide you will explore churches, holy sites, and ancient remains that preserve the memory of faith, devotion, and history. Every day combines spiritual depth with rich storytelling, creating an unforgettable Christian journey in the Holy City.

Day 1 – The Mount of Olives and the Via Dolorosa

The tour begins on the Mount of Olives, where sacred landmarks reflect key moments in the life of Jesus. You will visit the Chapel of Ascension, commemorating the site of His ascension, and the Pater Noster Church, where the Lord’s Prayer is remembered in many languages. Nearby, at the Dominus Flevit Church, you will have the opportunity to pause at the site where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Reaching the bottom of the slope, you will enter the ancient olive trees of the Garden of Gethsemane, the quiet Grotto of Gethsemane, and Mary’s Tomb in the nearby valley.

Crossing the Kidron valley, you will pass by the traditional site of the martyrdom of Saint Stephen, the first Christian martyr. From here the focus shifts to the Via Dolorosa, where pilgrims retrace the path of Jesus to His crucifixion. Along the way you will see the Pools of Bethesda, associated with miraculous healing, the Praetorium where Jesus was judged, and the Ecce Homo Arch. Continuing along the winding route of the Via Dolorosa, you will arrive at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, one of Christianity’s holiest places, marking both the crucifixion and the resurrection.

Day 2 – Mount Zion and the City of David

You will visit the Room of the Last Supper, believed to be where Jesus shared His final meal with His disciples, and the nearby Tomb of King David, which became a place of medieval Christian pilgrimage. At the site of Pentecost, you will recall the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles. Known as the Dormition Abbey, the complex also commemorates the Virgin Mary’s eternal rest, while the Church of Saint Peter in Gallicantu remembers Peter’s denial of Jesus in the courtyard of the High Priest.

Above it, the Southern Wall Archaeological Park preserves steps and ritual baths from the time of the Temple, where Jesus would have taught and walked. The day concludes at the Western Wall, the most sacred site in Judaism and a place where Christian pilgrims also pause for reflection and prayer.

Day 3 – The Garden Tomb and Ein Karem

Next is the Israel Museum, where the Shrine of the Book displays the Dead Sea Scrolls and the large Model of Second Temple Jerusalem vividly illustrates the city as Jesus would have known it. From there you could also visit the Monastery of the Cross, an ancient church built at the site where tradition holds the tree for the Cross once grew.

The tour concludes in the village of Ein Karem, where the birthplaces of John the Baptist and the meeting of Mary and Elizabeth are commemorated. Surrounded by picturesque landscapes and holy shrines, this village offers a fitting conclusion to a Christian pilgrimage in Jerusalem.
