Desert Wonders
This 4-day private tour takes you beyond Israel into the heart of southern Jordan, where ancient cities, dramatic deserts, and Red Sea landscapes create an unforgettable journey. From Wadi Rum’s dramatic landscapes to Petra’s rose-red monuments and the calm shores of Aqaba, every day brings a new highlight. The journey begins with an easy transfer from Tel Aviv to southern Jordan and concludes on the Red Sea in Eilat, with optional snorkeling, diving, or private yacht sailing.
Depart Tel Aviv with either a flight or a drive to Eilat, then cross into Jordan at the southern border. Begin your adventure with an off-road jeep tour across Wadi Rum, the vast desert of red sands and towering cliffs, once crossed by Lawrence of Arabia. The afternoon is filled with breathtaking scenery, Bedouin hospitality, and quiet desert horizons.
Journey north to the world-renowned Petra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Walk through the Siq, the narrow canyon that suddenly reveals the Treasury’s magnificent facade. Continue deeper into the city, exploring temples, tombs, and rock-cut facades that tell the story of the Nabataean kingdom.
Head to Little Petra, a smaller yet enchanting Nabataean site filled with carved facades and a glimpse into ancient caravan life. Then travel south to the seaside city of Aqaba, where historic forts and modern markets blend along the Red Sea shore. Visit the site of the 1917 Great Arab Revolt Flag, a symbol of regional history and independence, while your guide will share with you the historical event. In the afternoon, return to Israel via the Eilat border crossing and overnight in Eilat.
Visit the Eilat Underwater Observatory, showcasing the vibrant marine life of the Red Sea without the need to dive. For those wishing to get closer, enjoy snorkeling or even a guided scuba dive among coral reefs and colorful fish (no experience needed!)
