Day 4: The Heart of Jerusalem
Walk the Via Dolorosa, retracing the steps of Jesus along the Stations of the Cross. The path winds through bustling alleys of the Old city, ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, revered as the site of Jesus’ crucifixion, burial, and resurrection. Continue to the Western Wall, the holiest place in Judaism where worshippers gather in prayer in front of a sacred remnant of the Temple Mount.
Next, explore the Jewish Quarter, with its restored synagogues, ancient Cardo street, and vibrant life within the Old City. In the afternoon, choose between visiting the City of David, where archaeological finds reveal Jerusalem’s earliest history and the story of King David, or the Israel Museum, home to the Dead Sea Scrolls and the model of Second Temple Jerusalem.
