Baptism in the Jordan River – A Sacred Experience

Believed to be where the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus, this place has drawn pilgrims for centuries. Named after Saint George of Choziba, it continues the legacy of early Christian monks who sought solitude in the Judean Desert. Standing at the monastery’s viewpoint, you admire its spectacular setting. The rugged desert and winding streams create a scene of spiritual serenity.
