“Lithostorotos” was the name given in the New Testament to the site where Jesus was presented to the public (John 19:13).
The term “Lithostrotos” means stone paved area, and by Christian Tradition a certain area near the 2nd station of the “Via Dolorosa ” is that site.
On some of the stone chieseld game boards from Roman times can still be seen, and beneath the paved court yard one can admire a large underground water resevoir.
