Lithostorotos was the name given in the New Testament to the site where Jesus was presented to the public (John 19:13).
The term Lithostrotos means stone paved area, and by Christian Tradition a certain area near the 2nd station of the “Via Dolorosa” is that site. On some of the stone chieseld game boards from Roman times can still be seen, and beneath the paved court yard one can admire a large underground water resevoir.
