Presenting Tel Dan on “The Watchman” Show
Tel Dan, an archaeological site in northern Israel, holds significant relevance to biblical history. Excavations at Tel Dan have uncovered ancient structures and inscriptions, including the famous “House of David” inscription, providing the first clear archaeological evidence of King David. Excavations also revealed an Israelite cultic Center, perhaps the one Jeroboam erected to worship a Golden Calf. Both gates of the Canaanite and Israelite period were uncovered as well.
The site’s findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the biblical narrative and the historical context of the Old Testament.
