Helicopter Tour to the Golan Heights

Helicopter Flight of the Golan Heights

The Golan Heights is one of the most fascinating regions in Israel, but the three-hour drive from the country’s center can be exhausting. With a helicopter, we can reach it in just 50 minutes!

Our tour begins in Tel-Aviv, where we will soar above the breathtaking Mediterranean coastline. We will head inland to cross the Galilee as we fly over Caesarea. You’ll see some of the most significant Arab cities in Israel with stunning mosques on their hilltops. The mound of Megiddo marks the plains of Armageddon, a site mentioned in the Apocalypse as the site of the final battle. Next, Nazareth, where Jesus spent his childhood, will appear in the distance. We will fly over Mt. Tabor, home to the impressive Church of the Transfiguration. Finally, the Sea of Galilee will appear on your right, with the Golan Heights at its eastern end.

Explore the Golan Heights

oz77-tank-display-golan-heightsAfter landing near the Syrian border, a local expert guide will take you on an off-road tour along the Purple Line, teaching you about the unique geopolitics of this region. You’ll see some of the tanks left in the field from the 1967 and 1973 battles. We’ll also take a break for lunch at a Druze village where you can indulge in a memorable culinary experience and an optional cooking workshop.

Following lunch, we can also go to a local chocolatier or visit a nearby winery to taste some of the finest wines in the region.

Fly Above Capernaum and Magdala

Once we’re done, we’ll head back to the helicopter to fly above the rapids of the Jordan River, following its meanders into the Sea of Galilee. We’ll also fly over significant Christian sites like Capernaum, the Mount of Beatitudes, and Magdala, heading back to Tel-Aviv via Megiddo/Armageddon.

A helicopter flight to the Golan Heights is a breathtaking adventure that offers a unique perspective on one of Israel’s most stunning regions.

Did you Know?

The Golan Heights were formed by volcanic eruptions nearly a million years ago. Today, the volcanos’ summits provide the best viewpoints of the region.
