Ein Gedi Botanical Gardens

eingedi botanical gardensEin-Gedi’s Botanical gardens started as a desire of the kibbutz members to make their desert habitat with more shade and more green.

Over time, with support of ministry of agriculture, the members managed reach and plant over 900 different types of trees and plants, from all over the world.

In 1994 these gardens were registered in the Botanic Gardens Conservation International, and they are the only botanical garden in the world which is populated.
