Located in the heart of the Golan Heights , ancient Katzrin was inhabited since the Middle Bronze age, but its archaeological park focuses on a Jewish village that thrived between the 4th to 6th centuries CE. The site was rediscovered in 1967, following the six days war, and was excavated between 1971 to 1984. With remarkable conservation and reconstruction work, ancient Katzrin village is a good demonstration of an ancient Jewish village in Talmudic times.
