The tomb of Rachel near Ancient Tiberias (not to be mixed with the Rachel’s Tomb near Bethlehem , or the tomb of Rachel the poet in Kinneret Cemetery ), is a tomb mark venerated in the last few centuries by religious Jews as the burial place of Rachel, wife of Rabbi Akiva, whose tomb mark is also venerated in the Tiberias (“Tomb of Rabbi Akiva“ ).
Muslim tradition since the 13th century places here the tomb of Sit Sukeina, the grandaughter of the son in law of Muhamad (Damascus and Medina hold additional burial marks of her by Muslim tradition). R. Bassula, who visited Tiberias in 1522 is the first to suggest Sit Sukeina tomb as the tomb of the wife of Rabbi Akiva.
Today (as far as I know) only Religious Jews visit and venerate the site.
