7th Brigade Tank Monument
Located in the heart of the Golan Heights, the 7th brigade tank monument is a memorial for the unit’s fallen soldiers. Aside the main building, there is also an open outdoor presentation of various tanks used by the brigade over the years. It includes the Israeli made tank Markava; two British Centurion (one converted to Puma and the other to Shot-kal); and an American Sherman. The display also includes two Russian tanks (T-34 and T-54) captured in wars in this region. These mighty fighting machines are a stark reminder of Israel’s past struggles in the region. To learn more about these battles we recommended the detailed presentation at the Golan Heights visitors center in nearby Katzrin.
A tour of the 7th brigade monument can be combined with multi-day tour in Israel that will include exploring the Golan Heights.
