Hezekiah’s tunnel is a 533 m tunnel (c. 1700 feet) that draws the water of the Gihon spring under the City of David to the Pool of Siloam . It was probably created by king Hezekiah to protect the Jerusalem againt the Assyrian attack in 701 BCE.
Walking through the long dark and wet tunnel is one of the most exciting experiences in touring Jerusalem, especially for youth groups.
