Eshkol Water Filtration Plant
The Eshkol Water Filtration Plant, one of the biggest of its kind in the world, is an important component of Israel’s national water carrier (המוביל הארצי). Located in the lower Galilee, the plant filters 1.7 million cubic meters of water a day using high advance technology. The site also offers guided tours through its innovative visitor center. Interactive multimedia presentations introduce one of Israel’s greatest technological achievements – supplying its citizens enough water for all personal, industrial and agricultural needs. And it is achieved in a semi-arid country, half of it being wilderness.
A tour of Eshkol Filtration plant can be combined with a day tour in the north.
