“Little Petra” (“Siq el Barid” in Arabic), is a gorge similar to The “Siq” in Petra
, which was also developed by the Nabateans. It is about 450 m long, and was probably a suburb of Petra.
In 2010 a ceiling painted with typical Roman deocarations was discovered above a carved “Biclinium” into the rock . This find adds further mystery to the function of the ancient Nabatean Carved Tomb facades.
