Kibbutz Misgav-Am was founded in 1945 at the pinnacle of the Upper Galilee. In 1948 It proved to form the border with Lebanon. To this day Misgav-Am is the northern most Kibbutz in Israel, just meters away from the border. The Kibbutz’s lookout point provides great panoramas of the Hulah valley, the Hermon, even the Mediterranean Sea, and especially of the Lebanese side of the border. Nowadays it has to developed to a welcoming visitors center, with comfortable indoor seating, which provides videos on the geo-politics of the area, followed by detailed explanations. The lookout is a great place to review the history on northern Israel, and especially the current challenges to maintain the northern border of Israel safe.
