Ski in the Hermon
Though Israel has an image of a desert, it does have quite a few forests, and one ski resort, at its northeastern border, on Mount Hermon. Located in the northern Golan Heights at Israel’s border with Lebanon and Syria, Mount Hermon’s pick is 7,300 feet high. Such a height provides enough snow for an annual average of 50 days of ski. The resort is especially popular among the Israelis and on the weekends it can get very crowded. The site operates 5 chair lifts and offers ski gear to rent and ski lessons.
Setting a ski activity can be combined in a winter tour of northern Israel.
