Located in the heart of the Aravah 2 miles south of ancient Hazeva, ‘Vidor Center’ exhibits some of the ingenious Israeli agricultural techniques developed for cultivating the Aravah desert.
The tour begins with of a short audio-visual 3D presentation, followed by experiential hall with interactive multi-sensory stations, each one presenting a different aspect of desert farming: water management and desertification, biological pest control, breeding orange clownfish (Amphiprion percula), and more.
The tour ends with a visit to a greenhouse that showcases the special products of the Aravah.
Named after the Vidors, who support the center a visit to ‘Vidor Center’ can be a fun and educational break when heading down to Eilat or touring in the Negev Desert.
