3-Day Private Christian Holy Land Israel Tour

This carefully planned 3-day itinerary attempts to reach most of the holy Christian. It covers the highlights in the Galilee and Jerusalem and include a visit to the Jordan River Baptism site. This spiritual journey will make the Bible come alive and will be remembered as a short, packed, but unforgettable experience.

Day 1 – Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee

Meet and greet your guide who will drive you through the Carmel mountains and Plains of Armageddon to Nazareth. In its city center visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and the adjacent St. Joseph church. Both are significant landmarks for the historical hometown of Jesus and his childhood. Journey to Cana, where the Wedding Church commemorates the biblical miracle of water transforming into wine (John 2). After a lunch by the Sea of Galilee featuring Middle Eastern flavors, head to the ancient ruins of Capernaum. Study its ancient synagogue and church and how they shed light on Jesus’ miracles and teachings. Conclude the day at Magdala, hometown of Mary Magdalene or take a serene boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, absorbing its breathtaking views.

Overnight: Jerusalem

Day 2 – Follow Jesus in Jerusalem

Start with a visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, one of the holiest sites in Christianity, which marks the places of Jesus’ crucifixion, burial, and resurrection. Continue by following the Via Dolorosa, the historic route that marks the path Jesus walked to his crucifixion. Head on to the Western Wall, a remnant of the Second Temple, and through the Jewish Quarter to Mount Zion. Here you can visit the Room of the Last Supper and Dormition Abbey which marks the event of the Pentecost and Mary’s resting place. Proceed to the Mount of Olives for a stunning panoramic view of Jerusalem and a visit to the Chapel of the Ascension. Conclude your tour at the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed before his arrest. This serene site is a perfect place for reflection and contemplation.

Overnight: Jerusalem

Day 3 – The Baptism site and Garden Tomb

Descend through the stunning landscapes of the Judean Desert reach the Jordan River Baptism site. By local tradition, this is where the Israelites crossed into the Promised Land, and centuries later Jesus was baptized. Explore this significant historical site with the option of participating in a baptism ceremony. Nearby, visit Qumran to learn about the fascinating Dead Sea Scrolls and their impact on early Christianity. You may also consider a swim at the Dead Sea. After a lunch break return to Jerusalem to visit the Garden Tomb. A representative of the site will lead you through the site and reflect on the death and resurrection of Jesus. The peaceful surroundings of the garden are also ideal to end the day with prayer and contemplation.
