The below itinerary combines a variety of exciting destinations and engaging activities, ensuring an unforgettable tour experience for all ages and participants.

Day 1 – Caesarea and the Carmel

Shalom and welcome to Israel! After passport control and baggage claim you will meet and greet you guide who will lead you to the north for the first two nights. On the way you will stop at Caesarea Maritima. Founded some 2,000 years ago by King Herod, Caesarea was a major city in the Roman and Byzantine periods. Visit Herod’s Palace, where Apostle Paul was imprisoned and made his defense before King Agrippa (Acts 24-25). Explore the city’s harbor and learn about the conversion of the Roman Centurion Cornelius by Apostle Peter (Acts 9). Enjoy a lunch break at a local restaurant, then journey on to Muhraka atop Mount Carmel. Maintained by Carmelite monks, this site commemorates Elijah triumph over the Ba’al prophets (1 Kings 18). In addition to its religious significance, the site also provides sweeping vistas of northern Israel.

Day 2 – Sea of Galilee and Nazareth

Start today at Capernaum, “the Town of Jesus” (Matthew 9:1), exploring the ancient synagogue and church believed to be built over St. Peter’s house. Nearby, at the Mount of Beatitudes, visit the remarkable church that commemorates Jesus’ renowned Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5; Luke 6). Head to Nazareth, a city deeply intertwined with Jesus’ early life. Enjoy a delightful Galilean lunch, and explore the Basilica of the Annunciation, commemorating the angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary. Conclude the day with a scenic ride through the Plains of Armageddon, en route to Jerusalem.

Touring Jerusalem as a Mormon is a deeply spiritual and enriching experience. Start at the Mount of Olives for a stunning panoramic view of Jerusalem. Proceed to the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed before his arrest, and the adjacent Orson Hyde Park. Continue your pilgrimage to Mount Zion where you can visit the Room of the Last Supper where Jesus predicted his crucifixion. Enter the Jewish Quarter for a light lunch break, overlooking the biblical-era walls that resonate the narrative of Nephi sneaking into the city (1 Nephi 1:104). Head on the Western Wall, a remnant of the Second Temple, and join the Via Dolorosa, the historic route that marks by Catholic tradition the path Jesus walked to his crucifixion. Conclude the day at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which commemorates the place of Jesus’ crucifixion, burial, and resurrection.
